The 2026 London Marathon was just insane. Three runners not only broke the world record, but absolutely smashed it to pieces.
In third place was Kip Limo. He beat Kiptum’s previous time with 2:00:28. That is stunning in itself.
But in front of him by some distance was Kajela, finishing the race in 1:59:41.
And then, of course, the winning time: 1:59:30 from Sebastian Sawe, demolishing the record with a really strong finish as well.
All three athletes wore the new Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 – the world-record and sub-2-breaking fastest, lightest Adizero shoe ever made.
Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 Review
Adidas introduces the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 – the lightest and fastest Adizero shoe ever, weighing an average of 97* grams.

The race-day shoe represents the culmination of three years of cutting-edge research. It is 30% lighter, delivers 11% greater forefoot energy return, and improves running economy by 1.6% compared to its predecessor - making it a record breaker before it’s even laced up.
A total reimagining of the interplay between foam and carbon delivers peak performance for elite athletes, limited pairs available from April 25th on adidas.com and at speciality retailers.

Who should buy?
After pushing the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 to the limit, we found that it's:
- Ideal for runners who want the newest top-tier technology, no matter the price.
- A great match for fans of ultra-light super shoes who love a barely-there feel.
- Best for marathoners who do not heel strike and enjoy the rolling feel of a massive forefoot rocker.
- A perfect super shoe for those seeking marginal gains and enjoying a plush foam underfoot.
Who should NOT buy?
The Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 is extremely expensive. We find its sky-high price is hard to justify for amateurs, especially when shoes like the ASICS Metaspeed Ray or the PUMA Fast-R Nitro Elite 3 also deliver feather-light builds and world-class speed for less money.

Why Replace Your Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 Insoles?
It's impossible to remove the insole of the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 because... There is no insole!
While the Adios Pro Evo 3 is built for speed, its minimalist footbed may lack the arch support needed for runners with flat feet. Adding a lightweight, semi-rigid PCSsole insert can provide the necessary stability without compromising too much on the elite racing feel.
The heel counter is non-existent and adds no support. The upside is that runners who are sensitive to a stiff design here won't have that issue, but heel strikers won't find much stability either.
The heel piece has a thickness of 1.0 mm and is very soft too, which quickly explains why it gave in so fast during our durability test.
The heel padding did a bit better with a 3/5, which was a bit of a relief. The upper is so thin, but anyway, we don't think long-term upper durability will be a problem, as the outsole will be destroyed long before that.
But don't worry – you don’t need to toss your favorite sneakers just yet. Replacing those insoles is an easy, affordable way to restore the support and comfort your Adidas shoes once provided.
There are two ways to look at the price of the Evo 3. On the positive side, for the same MSRP as the Evo 1 and Evo 2, you get a super shoe that's 29% lighter... and clearly faster. On the other hand, it still carries an insane price tag that is hard to justify for most amateur athletes, given its low durability and unstable ride.
How To Choose the Right Adidas Replacement Insoles
Assess Your Activity Level
If you’re a runner, prioritize shock absorption. Casual users may prefer soft, everyday comfort.
Consider Foot Conditions
If you are experiencing plantar fasciitis, flat feet, or overpronation, choosing an insole that targets these conditions is essential. The PCSsole’s adaptive arch support and custom fit can help improve foot alignment and reduce discomfort, offering relief from common foot ailments.
Check Compatibility with Your Specific Adidas Model
Some insoles are optimized for running, while others are better suited for cross-training, work boots, or walking.

Step-by-Step: How to Replace Insoles in Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 Shoes
No original insole (sockliner)
The Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 shoes do not come with original insoles, so you can simply insert replacement insoles directly into the shoes.
Check the fit of the new insole
Carefully place the replacement insole inside the shoe. Make sure that it lies flat and straight—not curling at the toe or the heel.
Trim only if necessary
If the insole is too long or too wide, remove it and trim small amounts at a time. For best results, follow the outline of the original insole.
Reinsert and test the fit
Put the trimmed insole back into the shoe. Stand or walk around to test the comfort and fit.
Allow a short break-in period
Some structured or supportive insoles may feel different, or even uncomfortable, at first. Gradual wear helps your feet adjust to the change.
Upgrade Your Adidas Shoes Today
If your Adidas shoes have lost the comfort and support they used to provide, it is time to upgrade them. With the help of a top-quality insole, you can make your shoes feel new again, perform better, and last longer.
